New Orleans, LA, May 24, 2018 – Jonathan C. Shoemaker of Lee/Shoemaker PLLC led a discussion on the recent decision of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals in Hensel Phelps Construction Co. v. Cooper Carry, Inc., at the 57th Annual Meeting of Invited Attorneys put on by Victor O. Schinnerer & Company, Inc. in partnership with CNA. Jonathan advocated on behalf of Cooper Carry before the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, resulting in the affirmation of the trial court’s dismissal of Hensel Phelps’ claims against Cooper Carry.

In presenting on this case, Jonathan was joined by Andrea Smith, Esq. (Corporate Counsel/Associate Principal at Cooper Carry), Nick Lopuszynski (Director of Specialty Strategic Claims at CNA), and Lauren Martin (AE Claim Consultant at CNA) to share their insights regarding the claims asserted against Cooper Carry, the strategic plan developed to defend against the claims, and the successful implementation of that plan which resulted in dismissal of the claims.
