Washington, DC, December 7, 2023 – From 1 pm to 5 pm, Jonathan C. Shoemaker, Joseph W. Cooch, and Paul E. Knupp, III presented the 29th Annual Review of Legal Decisions Affecting Architects and Engineers at the District Architecture Center, with a cameo appearance from James F. Lee, Jr. to conclude the program. During the course of the program, the team at Lee/Shoemaker PLLC reviewed over 40 legal decisions issued over the past year in cases involving design professionals, and identifying practical “lessons learned” from those cases for incorporation into practice. Additionally, Jonathan, Joe, Paul, and Jim shared their insights into trends and developments related to contract negotiation, risk management, and transition planning.
