October 19, 2024, Washington, DC – The D.C. Defense Lawyers Association named Paul E. Knupp, III of Lee/Shoemaker PLLC as its President. The D.C. Defense Lawyers Association consists of attorneys who devote substantial time to the defense of civil cases in the courts of the District of Columbia, providing a forum for an exchange of information on the procedures and law related to the defense of civil actions. The organization seeks to elevate the standards of trial practice, improve the adversary system, work toward elimination of delay in civil litigation, and increase the quality of service that the legal profession renders to the community.
