Washington, DC, October 20, 2020 – Today, Jonathan C. Shoemaker of Lee/Shoemaker PLLC presented, “Everyone Else is Doing It”: Balancing Risk in the Age of COVID-19, to ACEC-Virginia. Drawing on experienced gleaned from negotiating public and private contracts on behalf of design professionals over the past several months, Jonathan shared the firm’s insights on how owners and design-build contractors have modified their strategies for contract negotiation and strategies for negotiating a professional services agreement that fairly allocates risk and responsibility between the parties.
