Washington, DC, March 20, 2019 – Jonathan C. Shoemaker of Lee/Shoemaker PLLC presented a Victor O. Schinnerer & Co. webinar, “Lessons Learned: How Case Law Informs Prudent Practice,” to more than 200 design professionals across the United States. During his presentation, Jonathan reviewed recent case law related to the duties owed by design professionals, the damages which may be claimed as a result of a breach of those duties, and contractual risk management provisions to fairly guard against risk beyond the control of most design professionals. Through the review of recent legal decisions, Jonathan identified “lessons learned” from to assist design firms in adopting effective risk management strategies in their professional practices.
