August 20, 2026, Richmond, VA — Daniel M. Eggleston and Curtis A. Orshoski of Lee/Shoemaker PLLC presented “Engineering Risk Management: The Standard of Care and Contractual Liability,” to the membership of ASCE-Richmond. During the course of the presentation, Daniel and Curt discussed the importance of understanding how the standard of care operates in conjunction with contractual obligations, and identified strategies for engineers to manage risks arising out of their professional services.
