Washington, DC, November 7, 2018 – Today, Jonathan C. Shoemaker of Lee/Shoemaker PLLC presented a webinar, “Copyright and the Duty to Defend,” to more than 400 design professionals across the United States. During his presentation, Jonathan reviewed the risks associated copyright claims and duties to defend in the context of a recent copyright claim. Through examination of the life-cycle of the copyright claim and follow-on litigation related to a duty to defend, this case study illustrated the risks to design professionals associated with such claims and identified strategies for mitigating against these risks.
